Electrical and electronic package
Besides rewiring the machine including a new motor and drive, we have added two new touch screens that centrally control all the function of the machine, such as:
- – heat intensity of the infrared lamps
- – real-time location of paper jams counter
- – counter and batching operations
- – access to maintenance in production history
For new electrical boxes attached to the main sections of the machine allow a fast and easy installation.
A new set of servo motors continuosly adjust the tension on the web and offer the option to install a registration unit in order to manufacture envelopes from pre-printed roll.
Timing Belt Upgrades
The new belt transmission system coupled with harmonic drives allows on the run easy 360 degree adjustment of the score, bottom fold, staggering and seal flap folding sections.
High Speed Patcher
Net high speed window catcher increases production speed up to 1200 envelopes per minute.
Infrared Lamps
The infrared drying technology reduces energy consumption by 60 to 80 percent.
Silicon Release Liner Applicator with Hot Melt Glue
Our newly designed silicon release applicator with hot melt positioned on the delivery section reduces downtime in case of a paper jam. In addition, it saves up to 50% on release liner and glue without lowering the speed of the machine.

The HELIOS 249 is a reel-fed machine for manufacturing centre seam and side seam pockets as well as wallet shaped envelopes (booklets). The pockets and envelopes can be provided with dextrine or latex seal flap gumming.
The machine can be equiped with a window cutting and patching section as well as flexographic printing units. If only up to three printing units are required, these can be mounted on the reel stand. In this case, the printing stands is not needed and the length of the machine is considerably reduced.
The printing units have been designed according to the latest techology in flexographic printing. The duct roller is driven independently by a geared motor. When the machine stops, the cylinders continue to rotate and the plate cylinder is thrown off the screen roller and the impression cylinder by a pneumatic cylinder.
The HELIOS 249 is remarkable for its clear design, accessibility and easy of operation.
The machine ensures very economical manufacture of long runs. As there is no cost for punching the blanks, this will favourably influence overall costings.
The pockets and envelopes manufactured on the new reel-fed machine are very high quality. The rotary knives used guarantee that no cutting differences occur and all pockets are equally good. The direction of the paper grain is parallel to the inserting direction so that the made-up pocket or envelope has good rigidly characteriscits and manual or automatic filling is facilitated.
On request,the machine can be equipped with an automatic boxing unit which is highly appreciated in view of the high output of the machine.
It is possible to equip the machine with a device for manufacturing Gussets.
